SCIENCES AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION FROM THE INSTITUTIONS
Keywords:
Environment, science, sustainability, environmental protection, institutionsAbstract
In recent years, the collaboration between special sciences and Environmental Law has proven to be important for creating concepts and understanding the object of regulation within this branch of law. However, this relation has been affected by different mechanisms that influence the assessment of scientific data to demonstrate impacts, risks, and damages to the environment. Surprisingly this dynamic has been linked to the dismantling of institutions created for collecting and generating environmental information. Therefore, if this situation continues, knowledge about the environment provided by the sciences will be seriously distorted and in worst case, rendered useless.
