THE RELATIONAL AUTONOMY OF OLDER PEOPLE: BUILDING A NEW PARADIGM

Abstract

The purpose of this work is to address the situation of the Human Rights of the elderly, highlighting the need to move from a welfare vision towards them, to conceive them more as agents of society. All this is based on feminist theory, starting from the case of elderly women; and thereby nurturing the need to further develop the relational autonomy of older people, as a presupposition for the effective exercise of their Human Rights.
